March Self-Care Journey - Week One & Two


This month is all about manifesting peace and kindness. When we practice kindness, either to other people or towards ourselves, we can experience positive mental and physical changes. Being kind can help lower stress, boost your confidence, and increase your body's production of feel-good hormones like dopamine, oxytocin, and serotonin. The best part? It' isn't difficult to be kind. As the Dalai Lama said, "Be kind whenever possible. It's always possible."

 

Week One - Manifest Peace and Kindness


BODY Engage in Acts of Kindness

Offer smiles and silent blessings to everyone you meet. Donate time to a nonprofit, work at a hospice, or donate blood to save a life. Your gift of kindness to another is a self-care act that bestows benefits of well-being on you.


MIND Think Kind, Compassionate, and Peaceful Thoughts

Positive thinking can bring powerful blessings into your life, while negative thoughts pollute the mind. Instead, seed your life with positive thoughts to bless yourself and others.


SPIRIT Soothe Your Spirit

Be kind to yourself. Invest in your well-being by unplugging from social media and meditating. It can be as little as 10 or 15 minutes, but stay consistent to see results.

Week Two - Manifest Peace and Kindness


BODY Gift A Friend Your Help

Offer to help a friend in need. An hour of your time is not only compassion toward your friend but also self-care for you.


MIND Shift Your Perspective to Solve Conflicts

Sometimes just one person can shift the paradigm to peacefully solve conflicts at home or in the world. Remain silent and walk away when an argument erupts between you and someone else. One person can’t argue if the other person has left.


SPIRIT Speak Peaceful Affirmations

Arguments quickly destroy serenity, making peace hard to hold on to despite your best efforts. Use the affirmation "I am holding on to inner peace" when you're feeling anxious or stressed.
